Xmit button and menu

I have the Elecraft Proset headset, but have not setup a PTT button or
foot switch yet.  As a result, I have used the Xmit button.  I noticed
that if I am in a menu setting, I can hit the Xmit button, and the rig
goes into transmit.  But if I hit the Xmit button again, it does not
drop out of transmit.  I have to hit menu, to exit the menu, and then
Xmit, and the Xmit drops.  Anyone else experiencing this?  It occurs
in both Menu, and Config.
