Yaesu MD-200A8X mic on my K2

Jean-François Ménard-5
Hi,

I very confused, I'm trying to connect my Yaesu MD-200A8X mic to my K2.
I changed all wiring of the Yaesu mic to match my other Kenwood mic. I
don't want to change jumper block on the control panel... and the Yaesu
mic will be used exclusively on my K2 now.... but for outdoor operation,
I will use the Kenwood hand mic... so this is why I changed the Yaesu
mic connector to match my Kenwood mic connector.

If I push UP or DOWN... OK VFO A or B selected...... When I push PTT....
it transmit.... but when I release the PTT button.... freq. change to
VFO A or vice-versa...

Any idea what I have done wrong.. ??!?!?!?

Thanks

I found it !!! For a reason that I cannot explain.... I put earlier on
the control board a jumper over FUNC on P1 header.... and should not be
there. Now, everything works fine. With my Kenwood MC-43 mic... no
problem... but with Yasesu mic, it was affected by this jumper. Anyway,
no extra function is available when using this jumper.
