All of my mics are set up for standard Yaesu hf rigs including an MD-100 and an MH-31. My K2 was set up for this configuration too.
Is it feasible to configure the K3 to use these mics? Or do I need to change all of the mic configurations? Thanks! Dean,
The K3 is permanently wired for the Elecraft mic configuration, so you must either create an adapter or rewire your microphones for the Elecraft pinout. If you choose to rewire the microphones, you will have to change your K2 as well if you wish to use the same mic on both. After answering many questions about how to set the K2 microphone configuration header for a wide variety of mics, I for one am glad that the K3 does not have a configurable mic pinout. The K3 microphone jack pinout is in the K3 manual. 73, Don W3FPR Dean wrote: > All of my mics are set up for standard Yaesu hf rigs including an MD-100 and an MH-31. I use a MD-100 with my K3 with excellant results. I purchased a NCS
Mulit-Switcher to do the task. I use the same mike on the K3, a Kenwood 2000 and my Yeasu FT-950. This switch works great on all.
