Yahoo Elecraft Group

[W1IN]

Does anyone use the Yahoo Elecraft group? I saw it listed with 300+ members so I subscribed. In watching the activity I see mainly only one person posting (which seems to have a commercial side to it) and don't see an answers to the few posted questions.

Is this just an odd period of time or it that group not really used?

Thought I'd ask before dumping the YahooGroup.

I belong to it, and have been meaning to drop it too, just haven't thought
of it at the right time.
Your experiences more or less mirror mine.  Wait and see what other replies
you get, but I am going to drop it.

The Elecraft Yahoo group was originally set up by one of our customers
primarily as a way for everyone to post pictures of their rigs etc. Not
as a general discussion group.

I'm the current moderator for the group and it only receives a couple of
postings a week. (I 100% review all postings to screen out spammers etc.)

We really prefer that it be used as originally intended (uploading
pictures etc.) and that regular postings go to the main Elecraft list.

Huh. All the Elecraft kits I build turn out looking just like the ones on
the Elecraft Web site. I suppose it would be kinda funny to see what else
some folks end up with. Maybe I'll have to join. :-)
