I run the K3 from TRX manager and rarely touch the K3 for anything other than the tuning knobs. The TRX manager Main panel for the K3 offers 31 macro buttons and a very easy way to write and keep them in memory. This makes it possible to write a sleep macro which turns off the vox, reduces the screen brightness and saves power. The wake up macro button turns the vox back on, wakes up the display and configures the radio to my normal way of way of operating.
The owner of TRX manager owns a K3 and has written into his program almost anything the K3 can do. A good example is that all the EQ adjustments can be made and saved without using the k3 or the utility program. If you are using a K3 with a computer you might want to take a look at TRX manager. I have no vested interest in TRX Manager ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Has anyone used TRX Manager on a K3 with the P3? Are there any issues
with this combination, or have they been engineered out already? The macro buttons (and assigned programmable command sequences) are something I need - just haven't written a simple program for this yet. Is there any logging functionality with TRX Manager, and can someone describe its capability? I'll look further on the web page for this as well.
