any one use a KX3 for the RTTY contest?

Mark n2qt
Looking for comments on how well a KX3 does in a rtty contest.

I am thinking of using a kx3 in a SO2R setup at 100w with the hopefully
soon to arrive KPA100, but wondered how it stacks up.  I'm currently
using K3's and FT1000 MKV.   (that Sherwood report sure got me thinking).

The KX3 is no slouch, but the K3 will outperform it for very close-in spacings below 2 kHz.

Re: any one use a KX3 for the RTTY contest?

alsopb
Close spacing--like 300 170Hz shift signals between 14075 and 14.110
during RTTY tests?

The biggest problem becomes AGC generated clicks.  Impractical to turn
off AGC and ride RF/AF gains.

I wonder if any work has been done on optimizing AGC characteristics for
RTTY type sigs?
