binaural audio effects mode

rlpend
Good morning,

Is the binaural audio effects circuit schematic-or something generic if
the K3 circuit belongs to Elecraft-available so that I could make one to
use with another radio ( such as K1, SST, RM)?

Thanks--Bob N5JYW

On my humble opinion, the binaural effect in my K3 does not appears to be so pronounced. The pseudo-stereo is much more evident, and has 5 settings level; the Binaural has only one, and on my K3 it does not show up as evidently. If i remember the original QST article, the effect should be of a separation between stations across a virtual distance in front of the operator; the QST article reported that during tuning, the station should appear to the left, then cross in front and desappear on the right. On my K3, all what i feel is a slight ambience effect, not a spatial differentiation.
Am i wrong, or deaf, or maybe stupid? ;-)

cheers & 73,
