carry cases

Chris Kantarjiev K6DBG
I was in "The Container Store" yesterday, and was surprised to see
a nice variety of blow-molded double-wall plastic cases. They seem
pretty nice, there's cut-to-fit foam available, and at a decent price.
The largest would certainly hold a K2 and some goodies...

No locks, not water tight, so not really up to Pelican standards, but
if you can deal with something a little less sturdy, these might
do the job.

Re: carry cases

Hi Chris and all,
The MTM SPUD7 dry boxes are only 30 or 35 dollars the last time I checked.
http://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/camping/dry_boxes.html
You can see what I did with them at
http://www.pituch.net/p/Steve's%20Page/Radio/equipment%20frames/frames.html
or just www.pituch.net
or look on page 53 of the April QST.  The article was highly abbreviated by
the editors although they did do a great job.  Most of the info is on my web
site.
Also to make this on topic note the HF rig in the equipment frame.  It is
no. 402 and fully updated. ;o)
