channel hopping 60m

John Cooper
I have the 60m frequencies programmed as memories.  So I can recall the 74 memories I have and get to it.  But if I just switch to the 60m band it works like the rest you can tune the whole band.  On the k2 you could force it to just tune the 5 bands were allowed whenever you went to that band.  Is there a way to do this with the KX3?  I did read the manual but could not find this.

John,

The way I handle it is to use the "channel-hopping" function.

"Adding an asterisk (*) at the start of a label designates a channel-hopping memory (pg. 40)."

I set up the 5 channels starting with memory 60  (subtle, eh?) and put the asterisk in front of them.

Now, if you select any one of them, tuning with the main knob will loop around all 5.

The "descriptive label"

Doing it either with the memory manager or manually will work.
