TRANSVERTER
Trans (transceiver) Verter (Converter) If you have a transeiver that doesn't cover a desired band such as 2 meters, you can use a transverter to convert it so it does. Like a K3....It will not cover 2 meters so we use a transverter. This little box will convert all the 2 meter signals to a band that the K3 can cover for example 10 meters. Also, this box can convert 10 transmit from the K3 to 2 meters. So there you have it. A transverter allows you to use an HF rig on VHF. Hi Tony,
You are completely correct. Wayne and Eric are the moderators and they have frequently pointed out that only they may assume the moderator role. There was absolutely nothing wrong with your original inquiry. 73, Mike K2MK

Hi Tony,
Your inquiry was perfectly OK. Please feel free to ask -any- technical question. To be honest, the only stupid questions are the ones not asked. :-) 73, Eric WA6HHQ Elecraft moderator --- On 12/28/2010 2:01 PM, Mike K2MK wrote: > Hi Tony, > > You are completely correct. But...how can you tell they are stupid if they are unasked?
And what about the above question? It is both stupid and asked! :-) On 12/28/2010 2:20 PM, Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ, Elecraft wrote: > To be honest, the only stupid questions are the ones not asked. :-) -- Vic, K2VCO Fresno CA http://www.qsl.net/k2vco/ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
