Jim Danehy-3
I ordered my K3 a week ago today (Saturday) I have now used it for 48 hours. Having operated ham gear for 57 years I am just astonished how nice this little box plays. I am 98 % CW operator. I use my K2 for digital modes now. I built my K2 eight years ago. My eyesight at 71 years old suggested that I let the folks our West build this on for me. I still own a TS 930 and Omni 6+ and the K2. I have enjoyed reading the K3 instruction manual with a legal pad and writing out relevant instructions. Then returning to the rig and attempting to implement the instructions. With rare exceptions, my use has been without problems. I had to laugh to myself while reading some of the comments posted on this reflector. Humans sure like to nit pick. I had not been on this reflector for about five years. I had to get back on when I purchased K3 # 3355. The nit pickers really stand out. I wonder when they get to the "pearly gates" if they will complain . . .? Probably !
This is one sweet rig. Thanks to all who made it happen. Great job despite those who make "suggestions" (complain). The comment about the P3 should go on the right rather than the left really took the prize. Get a life OM.

73 to all the great folks at Elecraft. It also arrived one daily earlier than the 3 day UPS I paid for.
