footswitch

Steve Jackson-5
" I really like the idea the there is a ... jack for a
footswitch.  Does anyone have a source where I can
pick up a switch? "

I use the low-cost unit from RadioShack.  I cut off
the submini plug it comes with and put on what I
needed.

I use the Heil footswitch with my K2... just a matter of making up a
short patch cord(1/4fm to 1/8m stereo) for the 1/4" plug.
Use it with the key jack for PTT with the Heil Proset.

Re: footswitch

I was able to get a couple footswitches for free from my son, who does
live sound production as a hobby. Evidently many effects boxes come
with em, but often are not used. A music/sound shop might be a source
.. just poked around Google and found
http://www.mccormicksnet.com/midihard/yamapedl.htm, $12.95 for the
sustain pedal complete with 1/4" plug ...
