I don't understand how/why you would want to put an active piece of electronics out of reach/sight of the operating position-especially something powerful like an amplifier. You don't know if it is operating properly if you can't see the metering. I'd at least have computer monitoring and probably control. If you have the computer interface up (KPA Utility), you can switch it on or off with the computer mouse. Works great. You must have KPA500 mounted under the operating position.
You may be able to write a macro on the K3 to do the same thing, haven't tried that. 73, Bill AK5X On Feb 11, 2013, at 2:37 PM, AG0N-3055 wrote: > On Mon, 11 Feb 2013 13:25:37 -0700, Gary McDuffie <[hidden email]> > wrote: > > On Mon, 11 Feb 2013 11:17:54 -0700, RANDY DIDDEL wrote: > >> To clarify, I just would like to be able to switch to/from Barefoot at >> the K3 without having to reach way over and down every time. > > I don't understand how/why you would want to put an active piece of > electronics out of reach/sight of the operating position-especially > something powerful like an amplifier.
