Re: help with my rigs center frequency

You can change the filter centre frequency in any mode by using the
SHIFT control. Tapping this control will switch between SHIFT/WIDTH and
LO/HI CUT modes, and will also briefly display the current FC or LO
setting in the VFO B display. The default or "normal" FC is marked with
an asterisk (*).

The default filter centre frequencies in CW and in AFSK A/FSK D can be
adjusted using the K3's PITCH control.

Assuming you are using sound card software for PSK31, you will likely be
using DATA A mode. The default filter centre frequency in DATA A is 1500
Hz. The PITCH control is not available in DATA A.

As a side comment, the SPOT control does produce a tone in DATA A, but
the tone it produces is not at FC, it is at the CW sidetone pitch, which
is irrelevant in DATA A.

More specifically, one can adjust the default CW offset and the AFSK A
or FSK D *Mark* frequency. using the "Pitch" control.  CW pitch is the
center of the filter but AFSK A/FSK D pitch is half way between the two
tones - or 85 HZ *higher* that the "pitch" setting.

The typical pitch for RTTY is 2210 (2125 + 85) Hz.

In DATA A (PSK31, etc.) the filter defaults to 1500 Hz center (100 -
2900 Hz).
