I had just installed SteppIR Vertical and made a solid contact on 10m. I moved up the band a couple 100 kh and attempted to transmit at 100W. The radio went silent (no white noise) and the control panel froze. In addition, without keying the boom mic (Heil Traveler) the PWR side of my WM-2 calculating meter began pulsating with the inflection of my voice (Talking to myself). I powered the radio on and off several times to no avail and then left it on, while checking connections. Then the cooling fan came on and the heat sink was warm to the touch. So I powered it off. I have no idea what happened. It just happened out of the blue. I have not opened the case yet. Just wanted to see if anyone has had similar problems and had any suggestions.
