k2 assembly next question.

n0xdb
Hello Elecraft,

figure 5-15 doesn't look anything like the front panel assembly
  elecraft k2.

Also the gree led cover double-sided tape was 1 sided second part
didn't peel off. So I used glue.

I don't understand how the front panel is attached to the control
  board.

I am not sure where you read any reference to Figure 5-15.
All the reflector posts responding to your question referred to Figure
5-11.  It is on page 28 (the only figure on that page).

You will get to the part of the build where the front panel and control
board are mounted to the RF board on pages 41 and 42.
In the meantime, you should have two standoffs mounted on the solder
side of the Front Panel board - just make sure they are in place before
putting the metal on the Front Panel Board and mounting the knobs.

Well, it's too late now, but you have to follow the instructions on the tape exactly (last step on P. 30) or it would end up a mess. i.e. you have to peel off one side, attach the tape to the green filter with the other side of the tape still with the paper on it. Then you can peel the paper off the other side and stick the works to the front panel. At least it worked for me - once I got the other piece of paper off I saw it wasn't really tape but just a strip of sticky goo....

5-15 is just a top view of the front panel from the front. (fig. 5-11 _in the errata page 2, not the manual page 28_ is what the LCD/diffuser assembly should look like from the side on the front panel board).
Oh, in my K2 kit, the 2nd page of the errata is missing, so if you don't have 3 pages of errata you're missing it too. The correct errata you can download off elecraft.com in the Manuals & Downloads section.
