Hi:
Similar to cap C6 on page 57, do I install cap C45 in the outer two of the three holes? The marked outline suggests that, but that middle hole seems placed ideally for the lead spacing of the supplied part. 73, VE8JJ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. I just looked at a K2 RF Board and it leads me to think you are trying to
place C45 in the wrong spot - there are only 2 holes where C45 is to be inserted - the position is to the rear of the board from the 'C45' label and right next to the relay. Yes, spread the legs of the small capacitor to fit the hole spacing. That action is necessary for several of the capacitors in the bandpass filter area. 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > > Hi: > Similar to cap C6 on page 57, do I install cap C45 in the outer two of > the three holes? > The marked outline suggests that, but that middle hole seems placed > ideally for the lead spacing of the supplied part. > 73, > VE8JJ > > No virus found in this outgoing message. Hi:
On my board, that extra hole that I referred to is almost underneath the relay, and it intersects the silkscreen outline of C45. Nowhere near the ends of the oval outline like all of the other caps, so I figured that it didn't apply, but I just wanted to make sure. I was just a bit leery of using inductive reasoning on a capacitor. jh W3FPR - Don Wilhelm wrote: > I just looked at a K2 RF Board and it leads me to think you are trying to > place C45 in the wrong spot - there are only 2 holes where C45 is to be > inserted - the position is to the rear of the board from the 'C45' label and > right next to the relay. > > Yes, spread the legs of the small capacitor to fit the hole spacing. Sorry, I meant C33, not C45
