k3 Auxbus system?

Bruce Beford
Thanks, Lyle. The question remains, however- Is the auxbus on the K3
compatible with the KPA100? Can a "remote" KPA100/KAT100 from a K2 system be
used with the K3/10?

The RS232 port is a true RS232 port in the K3.  No special cables needed.

The 15-pin accessory connector, however, includes the auxbus :-)

I suspect the KPA100 will not be supported.  The KPA100 is not approved
by the FCC as a standalone HF PA, but is considered an integral part of
the K2.  Remoting it is something many of us have done, but is not
supported by Elecraft.

I believe the KAT100 will be supported by the K3.
