I would also like to have EQ settings set per mode and/or per mic
socket. Switching between audio data modes and a microphone with high frequency boost set on the TX equaliser and audio data modes is not possible without spending a couple of minutes re-setting the equaliser each time the microphone is used! Another area where settings need to be stored is for the K3 to store whether the ATU is in use on a per antenna socket basis, it's nice to be able to label the antenna type but being able to set the ATU and have it remember would be more practical use. There are a few of these irritations that need attention, another being the previously mentioned difficulty of switching through the VFO memories... You can't use the K3 as a channelised radio at the moment without a lot of button pushing. Also, it won't scan on 50 MHz with a message of "SCAN NOT ALLOWED ON THIS BAND"... What's that all about? One day, maybe it will all be fixed and we'll have to find something else to grumble about <G> 73 Dave, G4AON K3/100 #80 =============== I wonder if 1.1.3.6 allows you to save EQ settings? I would dearly like to have this feature. My wife Linda is also licensed and it would be great if we could save the two different EQ setups. 73 Ian -- Ian J Maude, G0VGS _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Second that, Dave. I plan on doing a lot of switching back and forth between DATA A and USB, which require completely different TX/RX equalization philosophies. Hopefully this is on "The List." :-) Bill W5WVO _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. My plan for the K3 Utility is to have a way to save short(er) sets of
configuration options, such as the tx eq and mic select / bias / front/back, etc. You'll pick from a tree view of what should be saved. The more you save, the longer it takes to save and restore. You can name the saved config file anything you want. You then restore from that file to get those settings back. My challenge right now is to organize the very large number of things that can be saved into a meaningful hierarchy so that things that you want to save together appear near one another. I can't have, for example, AntiVox at the top of a long list and "Vox gain" at the bottom of the list; these should be organized together in some sort of microphone category.
