k3 on fire?

Don Rasmussen
Yes, yes - Aptos, K3, and the suppliers are hundreds
of miles from -here-.

No worry for them but we cannot see the sun here.

Ashes are everywhere, and brush/structures burning in
3 directions from here, within 10 miles.

Oh yeah, the air stinks and if the wind blows in the
wrong direction we need to evacuate.

This is not one of those overhyped things you see in
the media - we're on fire.

Everyone is donating everything and it's stacking up,
we have everything except what we truly need -
improved weather.

Until that happens we stay close to the front door!

For those interested in the Southern California fires:

http://tinyurl.com/2topkd  "Green" fires are
contained, "Red" fires are not.  From the LA Times.

http://www.nifc.gov/fire_info/nfn.htm  National Fire
Information Center.

California is about 770 Miles/1239 km north to south
and 250 Miles/402 km east to west, depending on where
you take the measurements.  Fires are in the south.

Aptos is about 450 highway miles north of San Diego,
and about 400 highway miles south of the Oregon border
according to Google map directions.  The state
stretches from 124.2 to 114.1 degrees west and from
42.0 to 32.5 degrees north.  Aptos is at about 37.0
north latitude and 121.9 west longitude.

Don, I graduated from Vista High School and attended Sandy Eggo State.  I
have many friends in the area and am deeply concerned about you all.  I was
burned out as a teenager (LA).

Best of luck.  I wish I could send a left-handed smoke shifter.
