Buddy,
I don't use the signal link as have a top flight soundcard in any case but
have been an HRD user for many years.
Normally the culprit is something taking over the sound of the PC, such as
Skype of any other thing, could be a monitor if you have one with speakers.
Best thing is to go into DM780 and select soundcard and then select the
input for the Signal Link input, that's the first port of call.
