kat 2 t1 txfmr

Dan Grizzard
I have the T1 transformer wound and installed on the Kat2 board and have a question of the 1 turn winding. Cut and stripped as directed the wire
dies not pull down tight against the T1. There is a LOT of air between the wire and torroid. Is this correct in that the wire does not touch the torroid?

  Dan,

It does not have to touch, but only to go through the center of the core
(a straight wire through the core is a 1 turn winding).
If your aesthetics would like a tighter turn, then by all means reduce
the length of the insulated portion to make the turn tighter.
