Hi,
I do not have a sub-receiver in my K3. Is there any way to send the main receiver audio to the left and right outputs on the line out jack? Some times I "patch" my computer soundcards together to send the K3 audio into an amplifier and stereo speakers, but I only get one channel, the left (I think). Does anybody have any ideas around this? Thanks, Jeff / N1KDO ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Jeff,
If you must use Line Out ... Rather than a mod to the K3, May I suggest you build a special cable. At the K3 end connect a stereo plug, but with both conductors connected to the tip - the shield still goes to the shell. Alternately, connect to the Speaker Output jack instead of Line Out and you can have the AFX effects available. With no subRX, the audio is routed to both the left and right channels of the SPKR output is you have Speakers = 2 set in the menu. 73, Don W3FPR On 10/24/2011 3:37 PM, Jeffrey Otterson wrote: > Hi, > > I do not have a sub-receiver in my K3. > > Is there any way to send the main receiver audio to the left and right > outputs on the line out jack? > > Some times I "patch" my computer soundcards together to send the K3 audio > into an amplifier and stereo speakers, but I only get one channel, the left > (I think). > > Does anybody have any ideas around this? > > Thanks, > > Jeff / N1KDO > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
That works very well. I go from the Spkr jack to a Radio Shack amplifier
that goes to two stereo speakers mounted on the wall and pointed at me. Wonderful audio. I've done this with all my radios for over 10 years.
