memory problem

Steef PA2A
Hi,

I turned on the K3 today and all CW was gone. Pitch had become 000, where I always use 550. Filter width, LO and HI were giving strange results.

In LSB on 40 meters, if I tap memory M1-M4 the passband of the signals become smaller but LO/HI, BW and WIDTH do not change. Going to CW and back to LSB the receiver seems normal again. Because there is no KDVR3 installed, I usually got the message: NO DVR or N/A when tapping one of the 4 memories. Now unpredictable things happen.

NORM also sets the receiver back to normal. Does anyone have the same problem? Reloading the firmware 257 a few times does not correct the problem.

Warning to everyone: DO NOT TRY THIS, YOU WILL LOSE CW TOO!!

I had CW working on 80m this morning. Now I read this post so I thought "I will go to 40m and try to tap M1-M4 in LSB mode and see what happens" and I duly noted that I got no "NO DVR" message, but the filter bandwidths did not change. Then I went to CW and foun d that the filter center frequency is set to 0Hz and it cannot be moved. Changing mode or band, pressing NOR, or switching off the K3 and switching back on again do not clear this. I cannot shift the CW center frequency from 0.00!! :(

I don't have time to try reloading firmware so I will wait for someone to suggest a fix.
