my first Hi Current warning with K2

dw-4
Just want to make sure I'm running safe.
I cranked up the power full-tilt for a qso on 20m this morning.
On xmit the K2 displayed the Hi-Current warning.
CAL CUR is set at 3.50

Is there anything I should be concerned about here?
I understand there is a current limit circuit, but should I be
changing/fixing something?

Re: my first Hi Current warning with K2

Duane,

It is likely that there is nothing to fix.
Worst case is that the 20 meter Low Pass Filter may have a problem -
count the turns on the toroids L18, L19 and L20.  The turns should be
distributed completely around the core.

Other than that, just don't run the power control at maximum.  The
little bit of extra power will not make any difference on the receiving
end - stay at 12 watts or less.
