new firmware...what does this mean?

What exactly does this mean in terms of operation?  How will this
impact me and just how will my experience be "different?"  What should

Doug,

That means less noise, and therefore more usable audio range on the
transmit signal.  Your audio should sound more quiet on the air (other
than your speaking) - for those who operate exclusively CW it will have
no impact at all, but those with microphones and AFSK signals should
find a difference.
