Joseph M. Durnal
I do like the Yaesu FT-2000D.

The big problem I have with recievers is local noise in the
development.  Once the power went out and I drained my deep cycle
battery making CW contacts on my Ten-Tec Jupiter, it was awesome, but
that doesn't happen too often.  The yaesu handles that a lot better
than my old ten-tec.  I've enjoyed having two receivers too.  I'm
always listening on 10 meters now!

My signal reports on the section phone net are better when I run 200
watts.  I have a lot to compensate for, a 14 foot 75 meter antenna!

The K3 is coming along nicely.  I'm to the point where I'm calibrating
he reference oscillator.
