re: Antenna Analyzer

Just FYI, in regards to your question about "which antenna analyzer to buy"
... there are only 3 Micro908 Kits currently remaining in stock out of the
latest round of several hundred.  We're not sure when we'll be doing another
round.

Also FYI ... the Micro908 is the base architecture of the forthcoming
"SDR-908" portable SDR project  (http://www.amqrp.org/kits/sdr908)  The
project on this web page is shown in a classic "QRP monobander xcvr" format,
but the components are all the same as the Micro908 ... HC908 daughtercard,
DSPx daughtercard, LCD, pushbuttons, rotary encoder, serial connector for
program & DSP updates, and of course the "DDS card", which can be either the
existing DDS Daughtercard, the new DDS-60 Daughtercard, or a *pair* of each
for controllable IQ slicer phase control, OR a new dual-AD9834 DDS card done
in concert with Lyle Johnson for deluxe IQ slicer control.  This Micro908
hardware configuration is designed to work with the SoftRock version 5
project from KB9YIG, interfacing its RF front end and driving the QSD
sampler (and the forthcoming QSE exciter for Tx function.)

So, current Micro908 owners will be able to use the DDS card-of-choice plus
their little SoftRock boards to have the first-ever truly portable,
battery-operated Software Defined Radio.

Whew, confusing?  Not really ... the project has been underways for several
months and works real nicely now.  Details are currently being documented
and will be available in a few days.
