I too have an SL-1+. It comes with a DC power
connector; I wired it up to a 9v battery connector and
use that. A 9v heavy-duty alkaline can last a long
time, given the SL-1+ only draws 10ma.
They (TigerTronics) also now (as of 01Dec2006) sell a
USB version (includes a built in soundcard) that gets
its power from the USB connection. No external power
required. I'm planning on ordering one of those; will
use that with my K2, & the original one w/my FT-817.
