Thank you Eric and Wayne for allowing this discussion to continue
on the Elecraft list. For a plain-vanilla Ham like me, it is all
fascinating and very challenging to try and understand the new
designs.

this morning I read:
"I wonder what is next - It seems to me that we reach a practical
limit for front end sensitivity ....."

To me, none of this activity is about limits. It is all about the
purest and most heart warming elements of Ham Radio -
_EXPERIMENTATION_ and _INNOVATION_

These bleeding edge combination of technologies reveals a very
rapid and significant change in Ham Radio.

N9VV wrote: "Ham Radio is enjoying a period of tremendous change,
adaptation, and evolution. We have crossed the chasm from rigs
that you repair yourself to the rigs you can enhance yourself;
from rigs you build out of parts, to rigs you build out of
functional blocks; from rigs that are self contained trophy's of
bent aluminum, to rigs that beat with an invisible software heart"

that is what the discussion means to me :-)

thank you for the email bandwidth,
