small dipole for KX1

mc-20
Hi chuck,

Well its Wednesday and I still have not heard back any calls from my CQ,   my code may be very very bad,   even for a first time beginner, but I will still keep trying hoping to get better.  Grandpa said patience and persistence pays off in the end. I have decided there is something wrong with KX1 radio or the antenna, I hear lots of calls , some very clearly,  but for some reason they can not hear me. Do you know of a small portable dipole on the market, something I can fold up or quickly disassemble for travel in a back pack.

I will keep trying at the same time on 7118 at 700 to 715 EST

I did hear some very slow code at 7120 ,  little later on last night,  but it was with a lot of static so I could not get it tuned in well enough.

Chuck,
Last night all over the area of 7118 I was getting Spanish speaking in the
background, I changed the antenna orientation  it now is in the east west ,
So I will stay on 14118, it was pretty quiet there. Is the 1900 EST not a
good time, The book says day or evenings but does not give "best times"
should I be testing later on in the evenings since it is summer. In your
opinion which is the most used CW band.
