stealth wire ant insulators...can't resist

DOUGLAS ZWIEBEL
Well, I use nylon string here all the time...and it's not for
stealth...it is just handy and easy to use and doesn't weigh down the
wire, which I keep pretty loose anyhow.

But I can tell you, that here in NNJ, when winter snow and ice rolls
around, the "stealth" aspect is totally compromised...quite the
opposite of stealth.  But I have never had anything "snap" even when
branches have fallen right onto the wire antenna...gotta love that
nylon stretch.  I guess sometimes they do rot out (maybe after 10
years)...easy and cheap to replace.

Re: stealth wire ant insulators...can't resist

daleputnam

Another stealth line, might be 80 lb fishing line... with #32 wire... or even #28...

the thing that is a bother.. is the birds... they can't see it... and if they can.. they try to sit on it. go figure.
