The K3 Utility has been tested on Windows 98 SE, but not on Windows 95 or
Windows 98 (pre SE).

You should have on your CD the K3 Utility installation executable (the
SetupK3Utility...exe) and a folder containing all the firmware you want to
install on the K3.

There is a procedure described in K3 Utility Help called "Manual File
Transfer" which describes how to load the K3 from firmware on a "removable
storage device" which could be a flash drive or a CD.

Install the K3 Utility on the computer, then use the K3 Utility Firmware Tab
"browse" button to open a find-file dialog and navigate to the directory on
your CD that contains firmware files.

Sure you can.  But....

Take a copy of the K3 Util program with you and just do a install.  Should
work on 98, but I am not sure.  On the same CD, burn the latest or needed
install files....unzipped...and then browse to them and load.  Easy - Peasy!

Hi Gents,

I know this has been discussed quite some time
ago and the issue may not have been fully resolved
since then....but let me ask, can I do a firmware upgrade (or BETA)
using the "K3 Firmware Updates and K3 Download/Config Utility"
saved on a CD?  The computer *may* have Windows XP
or Windows 98...not sure which will be available.  I will not
have internet access.

Thanks,
Charlie, N0TT
