G'day,

Tried using my KUSB today.  Loaded latest driver and all communicates well
between K3 Utility and K3.  I modified the power on banner OK.

Changed the com port in Logger32 to the same and after the first read of
frequency Logger32 freezes and needs the three finger salute.  CPU seems
to be running at 100%

K3+RS232+Logger32 can be running OK.  Change over to KUSB, change the com
port in Logger32 and it freezes.

KUSB plugged into any USB port on the PC not via a hub.

Changed the port speed for both K3 and KUSB from 38400 to 9600 no change.

Anyone else seen this?
Not specifically. However, I believe the KUSB uses the Prolific PL2303 chipset, and I have had problems with other adapters using this chipset which were not experienced when using a real serial port. I obtained a USB adapter using an FTDI chipset which a retailer claimed was "more reliable" than the Prolific chipset and have not so far experienced any problems with it.
