K! Front Panel Res check

On page 21 of the K1 manual it says to check the adjacent pads on U1



depending on whick way I hold probes
I get 680 ohms between 31 and 32 ( + probe on 31 , - probe on 32 )
but if polarity is reversed I am ok
so I am confused
