K3 - on the bands

Now I am concerned about the performance of my K3.  This weekend...signals were weak and at times "wattery" on 20 meters.  I wonder what other people thought.  There was very little propagation to Europe...heck...even to Oh or MI.  So, are the bands crappy or should I have an issue with my K3, coax, or antennas.  Yes, I could work people, but the 20 meter band was not very good.  Is that right or am I off?

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply.  If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it.  If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.  Is Common Sense divine?
