Digital Recorder Funcion Question

I don't know what I did but I used to have the ESSB off and on function on M3 (digital voice recorder.) I can't get it back and I want a quick function instead of going back into the main menu? Do I need to download an update? I hit a function button by accident. How do you clear all the memories in the voice recorder and start over?
