This weekend's RTTY contest will be using 75 baud (100 WPM) rather
than 45 baud (60 WPM). Of course FSK works at either mode, but Lyle
and I have also updated the K3's internal encoder/decoder to work at
this speed.

(In case you haven't tried it: The internal encoder and decoder allow
you to dabble in RTTY or PSK31 without using a computer -- just use
the keyer paddle and message memories to send, and the VFO B display
to copy incoming text.)

If you'd like to test 75 baud RTTY, please email me directly (n6kr at
elecraft dot com). I'll send you the latest field-test firmware.

Once this has been tested, we'll be doing a beta release, which will
also include the new high-speed CW mode. Could be as early as this
afternoon.

73,
Wayne
