P3 and Front Knob Removal....

Hello.  My XYL ordered me a P3 in early November as a Christmas present.  It's working great but it's one of the few P3's with the faceplate issue.   This is factory assembled P3 and although I've reviewed the manual, I'm wondering what the best way is to remove the front knob?  Elecraft promptly sent a new faceplate this week and it's ready to be installed.

I've tried pulling it off - and maybe I just need to pull harder but rather than cause any damage, I thought I'd ask the group if there are any suggestions on how to get it off!
