Just to be clear, I didn't mention any other manufacturers, simply stated my thoughts about antique technology. If we have an Off Topic forum, but can't post off topic subjects...what's the point? This [OT] forum would appear to me to be the PERFECT place to argue pro and con on this specific subject.

As long as people are polite and don't resort to childish name calling, OT forums can bring up interesting and useful topics for discussion. If the List Operator doesn't want manufacturers names to be used, then that should be stated up front.
