My KX3 is only a few weeks old. I am original owner. Has the optional
paddles, hand mic, battery charger, and auto tuner. Works FB on brand new Sanyo Eneloop 2700mAH NIMH batteries. I also have a brand new, unopened spare set of the same batteries that is included. Would like to work out a deal for a Ten Tec Eagle....I do not like the menu system at all on the KX3 which is the only reason why I am not keeping it. Let me know if you have a like new Eagle and want to work out a trade. At this point I am not interested in selling the KX3 outright. Hi Lane:
You might try seeing if there is a group for the Ten Tec Eagle. I'd suspect that there is one. And, you could post there. I doubt you will find many Eagle owners on the Elecraft list! But, you might find an Eagle owner, who.. like you.. does not like some aspect of the rig (like the missing bands) and would be happy to move to the KX3. That said... all radios these days seem to have "menus". My experience with my KX3 is that I don't have to change things very often. My most used menu item is turning on and off the backlight... or bypassing the ATU... which I need to do when using my AlexLoop. Otherwise, I don't visit the menu very often, once I had set the features I wanted. I gave the Eagle a long hard look, but in the end, I went with the KX3, for it's portability.. and, for me, it was a good decision. But, everyone has different needs, so I hope you find a deal. 73 de Ray K2ULR KX3 #211 BTW.... the serial number is also a "menu item". :) ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

Yes. Especially if you assign those few menu functions you need to one of the soft keys. 73, Jim K9YC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
