two KXPD1 paddle users needed to test K2 adapter

Hi all,

Fran Belliveau, KA4FRH, has designed a beautiful, machined bracket that
allows our KXPD1 paddle to be used with the K2. I've been using one
with my K2 for a few weeks, and now we have two additional units for
evaluation. If you're an active CW op, regularly use a KXPD1, and also
have a K2, please contact me directly. We'll take the first two
enthusiastic testers  :)  In exchange for testing the paddle adapter in
a timely fashion and giving us a full report, you'll get to keep the
unit.

The adapter is only for use on hard, flat surfaces, and attaches at the
bottom-center of the tilt bail using thumbscrews. It allows the paddle
to be used reversibly, just as it is on the KX1. The paddle and bracket
together weight just 2 ounces and take up very little space. This makes
it an ideal solution for those who want to travel lighter with their
K2. A 3-foot male/female extension cable is provided -- long enough so
you can leave the paddle attached to the K2 but move the plug around to
other rigs if desired.

Assuming the paddle adapter passes its field test, we'll have the kits
available early next year.

Thanks for all of the responses! We have a couple of very CW-active
testers lined up.

When the KXPD1-K2 is ready, we'll announce it.
