using a K2 with transverters on satellites

Keith Bainbridge-2
I've just picked up a 2nd K2 and wondered just how good it would be on
satellites with the elecraft transverters ( or any other for that matter)
Is any one out there using such a combination and is the 432 mhz
transverter re-configurable for 435 mhz?
Any info would be appreciated before I make expensive decisions !!

Re: using a K2 with transverters on satellites

David Giles
G'day Keith,

I use my K2 + XV144 on AO-7, VO-52, FO-29 (when it worked) and DO-64 (when it
works) and it does the job well.  I don't have an XV432 yet.
The 10m bandpass filters need re-adjusting; there is a tech paper on the
Elecraft website to get the 2MHz bandwidth.  From memory it's a matter of
changing a capacitor and re-alignment.  It may struggle to get the full 3MHz
for 435-438MHz.
