using ham radio delux, dm780 for psk

Robert Paull
Hi All:
Looking for some insite on how to get my K3 to transmit PSK31. I did have a problem with the line out but Elecraft support replaced the I/O board and it now works fine...But no TX on Line in to the K3.Tried the following
setting PTT to rts-off, rts-dtr VOX on K3 K3
Set coresponding on HRD with DM780 pulling the settings from HDR
Tried both firmware 1.88, 1.96
running beta 3.5 build 1833 of HDR.
Thanks All

Len, K3LJ
Hi Bob, I had the same question and I emailed Elecraft support and Gary sent this message back

Please see:

http://www.elecraft.com/K3/k3_operating_tips.htm

I use HRD with only two audio cables and the RS232 cable, plus the
keying interface described in the info above.

I haven't tried it yet but I will as soon as I can. I would be interested in what you find out if you try it first.
