want to buy a K3 - what options do I need ?

DK5EW
Hello all,
sri to ask you here but I'm brand new to the K3.
I want to buy a K3 and don't know really what I all need.
Main is a K3/10-F - that is clear.
I want to use it with a external transverter for 144MHz like a
Kuhne/DEMI/HA1YA
I do not see clear what else I need for it. Mainly I wish to operate in
2m digital modes EME/MS and using it for contest on2m.
So any help is welcome.

best regards

You will need the KXV3A to use low power and split RX/TX lines between
the K3 and the transverter.
If the transverter can accept higher power levels and you use only a
single TX and RX path to the external transverter, then the KXV3A is not
needed for your application.

Hello dear Gene and Hello all,
yes you are right I will post here what I will order finally that maybe
others with similar interests can see.
I will mainly use that K3 on 144MHz with a transverter in EME and
meteorscatter as well on 2m contest.
Further more I will use it very seldom on short wave/6m and I'm not a CW
operator.
So the list maybe different to others with other interests.
_My personal final configuration is:_
K3/100-F
KA3T-F
KBPF3
KDVR3
KFL3A-2.8-2.7sw
KFL3B-FM
KTCXO3-1
KXV3A
K3STFNR
For transverter my choice is the HA1YA ME2HT-PRO Link:
http://ha1ya.config.hu/htmkepek/me2t_protransverterspec.htm
Later I plan to add the subrx unit and the DSP Panadapter

Irwin,

Drop the K3STFNR from the list, it is included on new kits or factory
builds.

I really look forward being a  proud owner of a K3.
Remember that there will be a small price increase in September.

You might want to consider accelerating your order!
