what kind of solder and flux?

M0XDF
What kind of solder is used on the SMD in the K3? Leaded or Unleaded ?
And what kind of flux was used.

And not to start a another very long thread, what would people suggest
for flux when doing mods?
I'll use the same solder type. But maybe water soluble flux is not
such a good idea for manual rework?

It is RoHS compliant.

After the board is built, water soluble is not a good idea.  The joints
will tend to corrode, and I don't like the idea of putting my K3 in the
family dishwasher for a complete rinse...

I use plain old tin-lead rosin-core solder for SMT rework on my K3.  I
sometimes use "no clean" flux rather than rosin core.  Depends on which
spool is nearer when I do the re-work.  But I carefully avoid the spool
of water-soluble flux which I use for prototype construction.

The regular solder will alloy with the solder on the board, no problem.
