I find varying the width pretty intuitive and the indicator eliminates any question.
The one thing I don't like is that I can't vary it while transmitting. Something I thought was going to be changed... I'm using the latest beta 2.20.
My only other complaint at the moment is that I can hear way more folks than can hear me ;o)
