Hi all,
My parts K3 arrived in Holland last Friday, spent the afternoon building and it works. Had a problem calibrating TX, one filter position on the main board isn't working correctly, so I placed my 2,8 kHz 8 pole in another slot. Only thing I didn't grasp until now is the fact that I have no idea how to put the RX in AM or FM mode?? Just tapping "mode" changes between LSB, USB, DATA and CW. Any help? vy 73 Eric PA3CEV K2#960 K3#122 -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. I believe from a recent post here that AM and FM are not yet implemented in
the firmware -- AM to be implemented soon, FM later on... Hi guys, On 40 the band is very busy over here in Europe. Since my CW skills are not the best, a good filter makes it easier for me to "decode" Morse in a crowded band. Now I have a 400 8 pole and I think a 200 Hz 5 pole or 250 Hz 8 pole will improve the rx and possibly take some workload of the DSP? But which one to choose, how does one weigh the importance of steeper skirts against a filter with less bandwidth? Why doesn't a 200 Hz 8 pole exist, is there a problem in group delay time, or ringing? vy 73 Eric PA3CEV -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
