ARRL CW DX Contest

Bruce Chadbourne
Just had to say - I had a blast with my K3 in this weekend's contest - I'm
not one to lead the pack, but surpassed my expectations and set a
respectable score I'll shoot to exceed next year.  A lot of high power rigs
out there and the K3 got a lot of respect running 100 watts (G5RV antenna).

All of the K3/P3 features got a good workout - I gained code speed and
operating proficiency. Thank you Elecraft!

tnx for new one Elecraft !

Bob K6UJ

Worked a new on on 40 meters early this morning during the ARRL CW DX Contest thanks to the K3 and its APF.
I came across a very weak T88ZO on Palau, barely perceptible on 7016.5  I was just able to know he was there, could not make
out his call.  Activated APF and was able to peak him up enough to get his call.  Called him and he came back "K6".  (thats gotta me me!)
sent my call back two more times and he came back K6UJ 599 (all contest reports are 599 hihi) I fired back 599 CA and he replied
TU. (how sweet these two letters sound !)
Anyway this is a new country for me, without the APF advantage I would not have been able to work him.
Thanks Elecraft for a new one!

73,
Bob
K6UJ

Same here. Ran the K3 and P3 with a G5RV from my beach house. Great fun and
a great CW combo!
