Hi all,
Have installed (and re-installed) firmware version 2.76 and the new K3 utility to do the auto tx gain. I get the following error: 'Unexpected response "DS@NQR@008**;" to "DS;". State 41' Must have something wrong in my config or something. Anybody else seeing this or have any suggestions? Thanks. Do you have Config:Tech MD turned ON ?. It's necessary for it to be on ( a small bug in this version of the utility which will be fixed in the next release )

This is a bug in the K3 Utility that will be fixed in the next version.
To circumvent it, use the K3 CONFIG menu and set CONFIG:TECH MD to ON. Thanks Al, that did it.
I did discover maybe another little glitch. I have an 18 MHz antenna on ANT2 and the AUTO config seemed to use that instead of the dummy on ANT1. Great utility, thanks. That is strange. I thought I switched to the antenna you've selected in the
wizard for every band and restore it to what it was before. I've been doing most of my testing with the Dummy Load on AN2 and the "real" antennas on ANT1. 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Cady, Fred Sent: Wednesday, December 31, 2008 2:52 PM To: BigAlT; [hidden email] Subject: RE: [Elecraft] Auto TX Gain calibration error Thanks Al, that did it. Hi Dick,
I tested it again and it is switching to ANT1 properly. When it changes bands you can hear the receiver noise on the selected antenna and then the utility switches to the port with the dummy load. What has happened a couple of times is that the utility sees a high swr and then throws an error. I'm wondering if a little more delay between switching to the dummy port and applying power might be good in case it is an issue with the antenna switching in the K3. Again, GREAT utility and if I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to call. Cheers and Happy New Year.
